My attachment #16068 contains suggestions for software changes. There are still
more ways to fix open issues like "CWE-690: Unchecked Return Value to NULL
Pointer Dereference" (and "CWE-252: Unchecked Return Value" in general).

Are there any chances to apply usual advices by tools from the software area
"aspect-oriented programming"?
