Issue seems to be caused by having a 64bit OS

I attempted to run it on my laptop which has Ubuntu 8.10 and Wine 1.1.21 and it
ran fine. Another user was also able to recreate this on a 32 bit OS.

I have attempted to run 1.0.0, 1.1.0, 1.1.18 and 1.1.21 on the 64bit OS and all
freeze with the same error. Therefore I assume it is not a regression.
