I've encountered the same error with wine-1.1.21 on Debian Squeeze/AMD64. To
reproduce the error remove the ~/.wine folder and run "wine notepad.exe" to
recreate ~/.wine directory. The directory is created, but it's almost empty:
there are no any .dll or .sys files. Corresponding entries in system.reg are
missing too. If I run winecfg and switch to the "Drives" tab I see the error
message "Failed to connect to the mount manager, the drive configuration cannot
be edited." (as in http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=19849). Also, there
is a message "err:winecfg:open_mountmgr failed to open mount manager err 2" in
console. Running wineprefixcreate doesn't fix the problem.
What additional information should I provide?
