Today's git on Ubuntu 8.10 and Nvidia 180 drivers,
with an "nVidia Corporation GeForce 7100/nForce 630i" motherboard.
Initially it complained it couldn't initialize opengl
(possibly because this card is weak).  Adding HW_OK=1 got past that,
but then crashed.  (Possibly in gecko.
There's been a gecko upgrade lately, wonder if that is involved.)
Running then with wine-1.0.1 starts fine.
So, guess I should try on a system with a real nvidia card.
