I have done some additional testing.  The FDICopy failure only occurs when
Adobe 9.0 or earlier has already been installed.  On a completely fresh
install, ie a new .wine directory, the failure does not occur.  So, that is a
potential short term work around.  I don't know the exact sequence of prior
installs which causes the failure but when I find it, I will post it here.

Also note, printing from Adobe does not function in Reader 9.1, although that
is a separate issue.
