Have you succeeded yet, or is do you still have problems?

I saw that you had Compiz on. Compiz seem to have some issues which affect CS4.
See bugs.opencompositing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1170 for details. However, there
has been no response to that bug.

So I suggest you turn Compiz off and try running again.

If that doesn't work, keep Compiz turned off and follow these instructions on a
fresh wine install(important):
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=15227

That *should* work.

BTW, there are some handy utilities for turning Compiz on and off for specific
programs.
