Yes, I do get that error. Starting from fresh, or rather, no, .wine directory,
I get,

err:process:__wine_kernel_init boot event wait timed out

when I try to run WinGizmoInstall.exe with wine, or when I run wineboot
separately on its own. If I go through the steps that fixed the installation
problem (i.e. run winecfg and select some OS version), the problem with
wineboot also goes away.
