updating to 1.1.33 isn't really an option, as there is not winepulse ppa for
that (at least none that I know of, the one I know follows the ubuntu packages
which still are at 1.1.31). also what is a clean prefix *puzzled*?

anyway, just tried installing .net framework 2.0 but after 20 minutes of having
the installer hang in "initializing installation" without doing anything (no
hd-access, no moving progress bar, no nothing) I had to kill it -.-
