This discussion is quite unnecessary and off-topic, but I guess most people
participating already know that.

Personal opinions about PulseAudio aside, the way to get a PulseAudio driver
into Wine would be to first fix Wine's audio driver architecture, and implement
the driver afterwards. Neither of those is entirely trivial, but most people
(understandably) probably aren't interested in the first part. I think it's
extremely unlikely that anything said in this bug will change any of that. If
the goal is improved sound support for Wine with PulseAudio, improving
winealsa/PulseAudio interactions on both sides is probably a more realistic
option.
