In a completely unrelated aside, I had some bizarre crashes directly after the
login screen that revolved around the sound system. I had played around with
wines sound system trying to get the microphone to work. Which I suppose
eventually had EVE try to access an invalid sound device in the end which
caused a crash. But that's probably yet another entirely different crash.
