Audiosurf also kept crashing for me. What I did to solve it was 
- checked Audiosurf in Wine AppDB
(http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=15970)
using instructions found there, I:
- downloaded usp10.dll (you can grab it from
http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/U/USP10.DLL/1.0420.2600.2180/download.html
 or from your Windows system)
- put in in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32
- run winecfg, created entry for QuestViewer.exe (~/.wine/drive_c/Program
Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Audiosurf/engines) in Applications tab
- while it being selected, went to Libraries tab, chose usp10 from the list and
clicked Add
- downloaded Winetricks (http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks) and installed msi2

Finally, Audiosurf launched properly.
