I can speed that up: just hit Esc and/or Q a few times while the 3DO logo and
intro is shown. Fails with the same error. (And again: disabling the sound with
winecfg prevents the crash.)

@Wylda: Thanks for doing the Git tests, wasn't in reach of a fast access line
to the net. So it would have taken me ages to get the Git checked out. ;)
