I have a problem when TM is using the moving water background. It seems like
it's hung, but I think it's just that it's REALLY REALLY SLOW. The way I got
around it was to disable gecko, then set the TM background in File->Preferences
to still water.
I'm not at the machine where I have TM installed now, so I'm going by memory,
but try this:
- rename the gecko folder in the windows directory temporarily
- run TroopMaster. You should get a popup about HTML rendering being disabled,
or something like that. Click Ok, then set the background under Prefereneces to
Still Water.
- exit TM.
- restore gecko folder
- get back in TM. If wine wants to install gecko, let it. Things should work
now, except for the DotNet hanging bug.
I don't know if this is a wine bug, but I haven't noticed the moving water
problem on XP or Vista.
Hope this helps.
