My apologies for the status error.

Tim confirmed he had the same problem with TroopMaster, and advised the
workaround he used.  I applied the workaround and it resolved my issue as well.

I do not know if the problem actually resides/resided in wine.  The change to
get around the problem (agonizingly slow response time) was to change the
background, eliminating the animation feature.  Not a big deal and the program
functionality remains intact.

You are correct -- there was no change to wine to address the issue.  Not sure
what change would be needed or possible.

Given the observation from two users that the problem exists (thought somewhat
overstated in the bug description), is it still UNCONFIRMED?
