I can confirm that I am experiencing this exact bug in 1.1.31 under Mint 7
(Ubuntu 9.04) running EVE in a virtual desktop. I've been unable to catch any
error messages and the debugger seems to hang when EVE crashes. On crash I
occasionally get graphic corruption, but this could be due to the fact I'm
using ATI. 

I'm new to Linux and don't know how to do a backtrace or any other debugging, I
will try to learn how and then repost what I find here.
