ln -s default.tot temp/default.tot works around the problem for me.  I'm still
seeing it on wine-1.1.25-63-g3ab8778.  Saving now shows up the error
"wineserver: file_set_error() can't map error: Too many levels of symbolic
links" in the console, but works fine.  Is there any further data I/we can
provide to help out?
