Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the "working" configuration any more.
Each time I have started "from scratch" (non-existing .wine directory) and
installed MapSource and a single map from CD.

I have a backup of a single working configuration.  The one I have created
using wine v1.0.1.  This one works now with 1.1.41 too. I don't get it any
more.

I have compared *.reg files and contents of dosdevices.  And even copied links
from dosdevices from "working" configuration to the testing .wine.  I have not
found any differences that could have influence on drive type or detection.

I think that at this stage running any "regression test" does not make sense.

Maybe someone who knows how usb mass storage devices are identified (for
MapSource to detect them) could have ideas where too look for the solution.
I do have one .wine configuration that works (with 1.0.1 and 1.1.41), but I am
not able to reproduce it!

Any hints at what should I look at?
