Actually, playing with it a bit more, seems the problem is that the fullscreen
window isn't taking focus. Once I run gta-vc.exe, the resolution is adjusted,
and all I see is my terminal window. If I press enter/double click the mouse,
however, the screen takes focus.

Pressing alt+tab gives the unhandled exception dialog.
