Screenshot of the lingering issue

Here's a new screenshot showing the buttons that are still affected. Steps to
see them:

1. Click OK to a few messages on startup
2. Click the paper image with the text "a blank page" underneath
3. Click the folder icon above the smaller round icons (print, cut, etc.)
4. Choose "open"

Incidentally, still present (for these buttons only) in git.
