that ActiveX control is part of Active DJ Studio (see
http://www.multimediasoft.com/amp3dj/)

What Wine version do you use?
If you use an old Wine version, you might try upgrading first (use a clean
WINEPREFIX for installing and running apps).

I tested with Active DJ Studio 5.3.0.0 installer from:
http://www.multimediasoft.com/bins/amp3dj_t.exe
Needs 'winetricks mfc42' before running the installer.

Manual registration of the ActiveX control with different sound driver backends
doesn't show any problem:

Successfully registered DLL amp3dj.ocx

I even tested the .ocx attached here. No problem.

$ wine --version
wine-1.3.0-335-g1afc16e
