It's apparently failing somewhere in OpenSSL, then.  SSL_connect is failing:
http://source.winehq.org/source/dlls/winhttp/net.c#L669
leading to the error message.  The +crypt,+chain log only has background stuff,
nothing to do with the connection.  You might have to get help from the OpenSSL
folks for this one.
