Mandriva 2010.0 x86
Wine 1.3.1
Kernel 2.6.31.13
ATI Catalyst 10.7
2 x ATI Radeon HD 4850 (1GB DDR3) with crossfire enabled
I am seeing black patches when using medium shaders in the in game video
settings.
The video settings in-game that stay the same
lighting = low
terrain = ultra
reflections = on
effect = ultra
post-processing = med
physics = ultra
models = high
unit portraits = 3D
movies = high
The video settings in-game that I am changing
is the shaders setting. When you change shaders though you inevitably change
shadows.
shaders = low
gives
shadows = low
or
shaders = medium
gives
shadows = medium/high/ultra
When shaders is set to medium I get the black areas in different areas of the
ship. I attached pictures that end with "shaders on medium" to give a brief
idea what I'm talking about.
When shaders is set to low shadows is also set to low. Everything seems to
render properly when in the low setting but the graphics are noticeably poorer
then on medium.
Screenshot is done with the following regedits
DirectDrawRenderer = opengl (sets renderer to opengl)
MultiSampling = enabled (not sure)
OffScreenRenderingMode = backbuffer (prevents garbled glass looking
screen)
PixelShaderModel = enabled (not sure)
RenderTargetlockMode = readtex (not sure)
UseGLSL = disabled (enables in-game effects)
VideoMemorySize = 1024 (sets video card mem size)
Since I have two video cards each with 1024 megs could I possibly change video
memory to 2048?
