Thanks for filing this bug and doing the bisect. Unfortunately, I cannot
reproduce the bug, even though I have access to a copy of this game, and the
+msi log gives me no indication of where the failure is occurring.

If it's not too much trouble, please get two logs:
* A +msi log with the patch reverted.
* A +msi,+storage log of the failure.

By "crash", do you mean that the installer is silently exiting? If there's a
failure dialog, it would be best to leave the dialog open while you copy,
compress, or upload the log, so that the end of the log is closer to the time
of the failure.
