[Bug 25411] Europa Universalis Rome freezes after a new game started

(new) +gstreamer,+quartz,+strmbase,+tid log (4 MB uncompressed)

The log was created with wine-1.3.8-258-g2390681. 
After the crash the music is playing on but the game seems to have gone AWOL,
left only the mouse pointer on the screen.
