[Bug 24669] Civilization V crashes on startup

I've been testing this, and I can't reproduce the error.  What I did:
$ winetricks corefonts flash
...
$ wine msiexec /i SteamInstall.msi
...
Then just installed Civ 5 through Steam and everything seemed to work fine. 
For those of you who get the bug, what do you have installed in the Wine
prefix, and what overrides (if any) are you using?
