I removed my binary directory, ran make clean, did another git checkout of
1.3.9, verified that your patch was indeed included in the code, configured,
built, installed, and ran Wine, and I'm still getting the errors I indicated in
comment #9. :(

Also, it's getting very late here... I'll try again tomorrow.  Thanks for your
help so far!
