I too would like to confirm the effectiveness of the patch attached to comment
#81. It fixes a sudden freezing of a .NET 2.0 app "MJ12node" (see bug #21636).
Not sure if it's sound related though because MJ12node does not produce any
sound. I can also be totally wrong about this, but the patch fixes the problem
anyway. Perhaps someone should investigate this.
