Can confirm this bug still present, wine version 1.1.39, latest version of TF2,
even latest version of Steam Beta UI:

Works ok with resolution 1024x768
Crashes half of the time with resolution 1280x1024.

Probably need to bring the graphics driver into this: GeForce 9400 GT with
whatever drivers come with Ubuntu 9.10.
