[Bug 9853] Splinter Cell: CT crashes with an unahandled exception

I can say that for me both demo and Versus works fine, the game doesn't -
neither original (with SF) nor cracked. None of cracks I've found on the
internet works in wine. 
I get either no output at all or just 
fixme:d3d_texture:basetexture_apply_state_changes Unrecognized or unsupported
MAGFILTER* value 5
And of course game wishes to restart the system to install SF.

On the other hand I talked to guy A.G.R. - he has got game from some kind of
magazine, probably without SF - and he can play his game.

This seems weird, but I think we are talking about two bugs at all: SF bug and
some kind of bug that crashes crack(s).
