After trying out all sorts of new and old packages for openSUSE I compiled wine
from git myself. The problem disappeared. To make sure this isn't due to some
new fix in wine itself I checked out the versions tagged 1.33 and 1.34 (i.e.
those corresponding to the SUSE packages I tried before) but in no
self-compiled version the "bug" showed up.

In my opinion this can be closed as invalid, packaging error downstream.
