I do notice that there is some output in the terminal window I am runnign
winetricks from that states:

Executing wine /home/sad/.winetrickscache/wmp9/MPSetup.exe
This program tried to use an XMLDocument object, but
libxml2 support was not present at compile time.

Is this critical or not?
