As I posted in the game's comments:
To work around the problem of very slow performances (black screen) with peggle
deluxe, you can add this to the registry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo"

And then, when you are in-game, if the window is not aligned with your mouse,
try removing the 3D acceleration in the game options.
