Confirming still present in 1.2-rc6 with ALSA and Creative X-FI sound card with
default kernel (2.6.34-1) drivers.
The sound plays fine for me in the inn at the start, but as soon as I exit the
inn the sound rattles a _lot_ (no echo though as described in comment #1) - I
think it is the background music, it is quiet difficult to determine due to the
rattling.
