Yes, I have this same issue. Is there anybody at all using Wine that can
actually play SC2 after Patch 16? It seems this issue affects many many many
people.

SC2 worked flawlessly (albeit slow) for Patches 1-15, so it's definitely not my
hardware.

I applied the patch from here, so I could work-around the login crash:

Wine version: wine-1.1.43-408-g3317fc3
Video Card: NVidia GeForce GT 220
Video Driver: Official NVidia 256.25
