Please stop changing the version field.  You said in comment 3 you used Wine
1.0.1 so leave it at that.

It does exist, configure explicitly lists the minimum version and the most
recent flex version is 2.5.35.  If your distro doesn't provide it then report a
bug with them if it is still supported.

Note, there is no need to build wine as root.  If you are also running Wine as
root, you should create a regular user account and use that instead.
