This is very strange!!

I'm using NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS and all the settings are set to their
defaults in Ubuntu via System > Administration > NVIDIA X Server Settings.

I've tried opening BALISTIC.EXE in the terminal with the word wine in front of
it, but all that does is run the game. That said, if you run wine in a
terminal for other Windows programs, you may get a few lines of text appear,
but not with the ballistic game.

I had no problems running this game under Wine 1.1.42 - no appearance problems
at all.

I've spent hours of my spare time learning the terminal and it's still new to
me, having been using Microsoft Windows for years. I will try the regression
test - if I can get it to work, I will post again.

BTW when I tested this game in Windows XP, I discovered that the mouse is not
supposed to leave the game's window until you right-click. I guess that
probably requires a separate bug report??
