With wine 1.2 (fedora 13 package), I am able to run Alpha Centauri.  The game
seems to be fully functional, but will crash after playing a couple turns.

#rpm -q wine
wine-1.2.0-1.fc13.x86_64

backtrace showing stack overflow is attached.  In the terminal, I get
