Well, I've played to the same point as before where the bug appears but using
Wine 1.2-rc3 this time, and lo and behold the status indicator shows the
correct figures. Note, however, that the old savegame would show incorrect
values for some reason.

I created hex dumps of both savegames (my current un-broken one and the old
one) and noticed that there were only a handful of differences. I've uploaded
that savegame in the event that anyone wants to look at it, perhaps to figure
out what the problem was, though I doubt that's likely.
