Ubuntu 9.10
Kernel 2.6.31-22
Wine 1.2.RC?-RC5

I'm just good enough at Linux to understand the ideas talked about here but not
completely sure how much my information will help.. I've been using this kernel
for some time, since before starting WoW (1 month ago) and have had no
problems. The first problem was with the 3.3.5 patch last week.

I had the same problem as above, it would intermittently crash after entering
my battle.net authenticator, but usually a second try would let me connect
immediately. This was all while using Wine 1.2, generally updating the rc's as
they came through.

Today's 3.3.5a patch was different, as I haven't been able to complete the
patch without the program crashing. after a little while I checked my updates,
installed RC5, no success. After using the above workaround however, today's
patch has successfully installed.

I did get an initial crash, however, an immediate second try allows me to log
in as before. I only had to end the processes, did not have to clear the cache
before the second try. Again, this isn't my area of expertise, but hopefully
this helps.
