Also an issue for me in 1.1.39

Although regedit workaround DOES work per key specified at:
www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2007-October/027896.html 

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Hardware
Profiles\Current\Software\Fonts\LogPixels (DWORD)

I set hex value to 0x48 (72). Default is 0x60 (96).
An alternative to winetricks-corefonts.
