Any news here?

It is the same for me with wine 1.1.43 on Ubuntu 10.04, kernel 2.6.32-22.
Tried everything I found here...

These are the last few lines from my startup attempt:
fixme:d3d:swapchain_init The application requested more than one back buffer,
this is not properly supported.
Please configure the application to use double buffering (1 back buffer) if
possible.
err:x11settings:X11DRV_ChangeDisplaySettingsEx No matching mode found
1024x768x32 @0! (XRandR)
err:d3d9:device_parent_CreateSwapChain (0x18499bf4) CreateAdditionalSwapChain
failed, returning 0x8876086a

What are those XRandR messages about?

Just in case it matters: I have a TwinView dual monitoring layout with two
1600x1200 screens but tried to help RA3 with setting virtual desktop in
wineconfig (this helped for other apps)
