Given that setting SDL_DEBUG=1 in the environment yields:

SDL_SetError: DirectDrawSurface::Release: Unknown DirectDraw error: 0x1

and using a newer SDL.dll makes ABCExpedition work, I'm marking this a
duplicate of bug 10086.
