The "magic combo" appears to be Issue 17 of City of Heroes -- the crash no
longer happening is due to changes in the game software, rather than changes in
Wine.

If you're hoping for Ultra Mode, I'm afraid you're out of luck: only basic
graphics are available for Nvidia cards.  I don't know if this is caused by
Wine, by the drivers, or by the City of Heroes software.
