I mean the workaround of renaming the Jukebox dir or disabling sound altogether
does not resolve the crashing at the character selection screen just before
loading the game environment. About 80% of the time it hangs x at the 80% mark
of the logging progress bar, 15% of the time it starts to render the station
environment before it hangs,and the other 5% of the time it actually loads the
game completely and is semi usable for extended periods of time.
