just my $0.02..

another way to get this fixed could be to press the PokerTracker guys to
rewrite their HUD so it gets compatible with wine or at least provide an
alternative HUD mode. should be no big efford for them. writing a HUD that does
not rely on layered windows is ridiculously easy.
