While recording with the first command:

lays at debian:~$ cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c/sub0/hw_params
access: RW_INTERLEAVED
format: S16_LE
subformat: STD
channels: 1
rate: 8000 (8000/1)
period_size: 1024
buffer_size: 2048

While recording with the second one:

lays at debian:~$ cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c/sub0/hw_params
access: RW_INTERLEAVED
format: S16_LE
subformat: STD
channels: 1
rate: 8000 (8000/1)
period_size: 192
buffer_size: 384
