I tried a couple of things:
1- Updated wine to 1.3.6;
2- Tought it could be my videocard driver (ASUS EAH4670).So I updated my 
   catalyst 10.6 to 10.10 (with the driver update included);
3- Tried removing/changing sound devices in winecfg;
4- Tried some in-game video cfg (texture cache size, reduce resolution, 
   disabling many options);

All these changes gave me no results and/or ameliorations.

I have a Pentium core 2 duo 3.0ghz (E8400), 4gb RAM.
