Why are you turning them off? Works fine here, in wine-1.3.7-207-gb6a1951. If I
turn them off, I get a massively broken game, and the terminal floods:
fixme:d3d:state_swvp Software vertex processing not implemented.
fixme:d3d:state_swvp Software vertex processing not implemented.
fixme:d3d:state_swvp Software vertex processing not implemented.
fixme:d3d:state_swvp Software vertex processing not implemented.


I'm not sure if the game should work with hardware vertex shaders disabled. Bug
may be invalid.
