In Wine-1.3.8 the installer (which is actually a Macrovision download manager)
behaves differently:
it crashes right after startup producing a nice backtrace.
'winetricks msxml3' workarounds the crash. Additionally you will also need
'winetricks ie6' to get the download manager work. The real installer will be
downloaded into ../users/Public/Downloads.
Please, consider changing the component to msxml.

On a side note bug #24040 might be about the same issue but I cannot try that
demo because of regional restrictions (at least that's what the download page
says).
