I can confirm that applying the dib-engine patch (1.3.7 wine version) and the
colormask fix patch from http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15146 does make
the text show up in touhou 7 (Perfect Cherry Blossom) and Touhou 8
(Imperishable Night) when the dib-engine is turned on.

This is weird, because I know I've played the games without either of those
patches, and had the text working.  When I get some time, I'll try to figure
out when it stopped working.
